Eva often used cafe's and coffee shops for inspiration. When she had writers block or couldn't think of something for her etsy store, she walked to one of those places and usually an idea came by the time she sat down with her drink. But by the time she sat down today, all she had was do an advice blog. So she opened her twitter and tweeted for her followers to send in questions so she had at least some content for her blog... "I am... a hack of a blogger for doing two advice pieces in a month..." Eva sighed defeated.

“Fire doesn’t scare girls like me, Captain Rogers,” she said bitterly before pulling up a mask that covered her from neck to nose, giving her some sense of anonymity. “But this wreaks of Hydra trap and I know because I’ve set up plenty before,” she said, taking in the building before them. She’d abandon him if things went south, but she was meant to. Hydra would want him captured, but her they’d want dead, and dead was not something she wanted to be. No one liked a traitor.

Normally his questions were some that were either easily dispelled or something that sent her spiraling into anger, but this... This was something that she thought he’d never have to question. “Because why?” she asked trying not to let the power coiling up inside of her to overwhelm her and soothe him unnaturally.

“You think I ask?” Lina said dryly (it seemed the Ukrainian was rather fluent in sarcasm), twisting and errant curl around her finger. She had been tired of all the whispers behind her back, but being forced to spend time with Cordelia because their respective husbands were better looking than they were smart. Lina was however smarter than either of them had been and quickly moved pull bobby pins from her bag and began to pick the lock. “They are idiot.”

“All things stop, and go, and change,” she said giving a light shrug as her face warmed with a bit of smugness. “You’re him aren’t you?” she said looking over his expensive suit and clean appearance. “Malcolm Bright,” she said turning to look at him properly. “I’m Lina Kozak,” she said, holding out her hand in a sharp motion for him to shake. “Well, Magdalina Veselov, but I won’t go around calling you by your unwanted name if you’ll do the same,” she suggested. She was aware enough of who he was, it was hard to hide when your father had a reputation, she understood that. Still she couldn’t stop herself from saying. “Nice to meet someone who’s father is as messed up as mine. Sociopath, Narcissist, and murderer. It’s a small club.”

They’d been in Haven less than a week when it was attacked and only through the leadership’s insistence had any of them made it out alive. They’d been walking all day, If Llnithal was tired and her light feet kept her out of the soft packed top layer of snow, then how would she ever not worry for Cordelia who had to trudge through it. “Please, just take the extra blanket. It cost me huge favor to acquire,” she said insistently. She nearly missed the filthy warmth of Kirkwall herself, nearly. But at least here they were treated with respect.

“Him?” The question was incredulous, but she did push Joseph away from herself, mostly for Lila’s sake and a small part for his own sake. “What about me? Us?” she asked, her eyes narrowing, and she turned her head, the brewing bitterness palpable. “You loved me once, Lila, am I so little to you now?”

Joseph knew he could have protected himself (or at least attempted to), but refused to strike Lina. 1, because Cordelia would be furious. 2, because he was pretty sure Lina would stab him. 3, because he didn’t want to be that man anymore. So he wiped the blood from his lip, where she’d collided her forehead with moments ago, and straightened the wrinkles out of his shirt from where she’d gripped him. He took a whole step back to be safe. “Lina, be reasonable.”

“No, you hurt her.” She didn’t care if they’d both called it an accident. She’d kill Joseph for it if she could. Even if she seemed half crazy at the moment. She hadn’t been sleeping well and so what. She refused to sit by and see Lila hurt even by accident, it was enough. Lila and Michael deserved better than this idiot.
