“Disappointed? You said it not me. I mean, my own daughter standing in my way, after all that I’ve done for her? A shame really.”
Stepping out of the shadows and into the light with a condescending click of her tongue, her gaze remains fixed on the woman who opposed her. Unflinchingly cold, she’s a picture of sinisterness and elegance all wrapped into one. For a moment silence hangs heavy in the air, broken only by piercing sound of her heels hitting the floor beneath her as she continues walking towards Lila.
“I’ve come to expect this kind of behaviour from some but you? Well Lila darling I thought you were better than this. But by all means go ahead, continue with this little tantrum of yours.”
There’s a kind of dismissiveness to her words as she comes to a stop in front of her daughter. The control she once had beginning to slip through her fingers like grains of sand yet this doesn’t deter her in any way. No, instead it only fuels her determination to regain full control and ensure she stays at the top, in power, where she belongs.
Concealed by her dress, a small revolver sits in a holster strapped to her leg; the feeling of it against her skin serving as a reminder of what she was willing to do to those who stood who stood in her way. Though in this case? That sure would be quite a pity, certainly not the route she wants to take at this moment in time.
“It’s unfortunate that you’ve tricked yourself into believing all that he told you but it doesn’t have to be this way my dear.”
