Anya was somewhere around 5 years old when she lost her parents.
The reason still isn’t clear, but considering how dangerous Yekaterinburg was-? It probably wasn’t a pretty parting. Could be for the best that she doesn’t really remember it, huh?
She went to her grandmother’s care after that. She still doesn’t recall much about that woman, either. She was nice-- she was a little demanding that schools just be patient with Anya, but she could also be,, less nice- Anya was still scared to let her know just how much she was struggling, and tried to hide unfinished homework from her. Her memories of her grandmother are still so spotty, though. She can see her face scolding her, she can hear her sharp tone toward the teachers, she can feel her sighing as she takes her into custody, and she can smell her perfume as she holds the trembling girl close.. But all of these things are still hazy.
The most prominent memory is of a cold and empty house, and a woman in a rocking chair. She was quiet, and still. Maybe asleep? Or was she..?
... She had definitely died at some point, but she’s fairly convinced she was at least in highschool by then, though that memory feels like it came from a much younger time. But all the same, does she recall anything about her from her teenage years..? If not her, who would’ve been taking care of her then-?
It’s still trying to be figured out.
