[text] I'm totally jealous, Killua! Though.. I've gotta ask, why oreos? I'm guessing those are your favorite?

No, Gon was never prepared for this kind of text, but either way, he was happy for his best friend. Waking up with a snack in your onesie? Who wouldn't have thought that as something important? In fact, everyone deserved this type of happiness at least once in their lives.

"Well yeah, I know! But you're always helping me with everything, so I thought I'd do it on my own this time. You deserve a break, after all!" Smiling widely, Gon held out one of the dishes he had cooked up for them. "I can't promise it'll be all that good, but I tried to copy it how I remembered my aunt making it, so hopefully it'll be edible at least." Sitting down, he allowed Killua to choose where he wanted to settle before they'd start to dig in.

"And if you think it's missing anything, let me know." Taking a bite of his food, he chewed it a bit as he thought over the taste. Definitely not as good as it when his aunt Mito made it in the past, but it was edible after all. "Actually, it's definitely missing something.. but I can't really tell what.. What do you think?" Questioning it with a hum, his eyes looked at Killua again, examining his features to gauge his reaction.

Gon, don’t you understand what a mess your father is? How can you still look up to him?

`"Well, yeah! But none of us are perfect! He knew he wasn't suited to take care of a child, and even if it was for selfish reasons, he put me with someone who would raise me properly. I can't completely fault him for that. Plus, being a hunter has given me plenty of adventures along the way of trying to find him to meet him! So in a way, he's let me have countless memories that I may not have had otherwise, and I got to meet so many awesome people, including Killua!"

"Killua's my best friend, so I can't imagine how things would be today if I never got to meet him! So even if my father may not be the best or be a very good one, I believe my life has been better than it would have been so I can still appreciate everything I've gotten now because of it."

“You’re so dumb sometimes.” But that won’t stop Killua from leaning in close and kissing him. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”

Gon blinked, pouting momentarily. "Hey! I'm not always dumb to things! Besides-" Getting cut off by lips meeting his, Gon blinked in surprise before relaxing into the kiss. Only once the kiss was broken did he speak again. "I guess being called cute can soften the blow though.. but, I suppose the blow can softened a bit more with some more kisses."
