Despite his protests, a heavily disoriented Green Knight appeared next to the willow tree. He squints at his surroundings, already disliking them because of his bad mood. Great, now he was stuck defending some stupid jerk version of himself that thought he knew anything, and there wasn’t anything he could do about it. Unless….Green Knight conjured up his battleaxe and took a few steps back from the tree, before running at it at full force, and slamming the blade into its trunk-THAAAAT WAS A MISTAKE. ”Gh-!”Almost in an instant after the axe had pierced the first layer of wood, Green Knight felt a terrible pain piercing through his chest, unlike any he had ever felt before. The weapon fell from his hand, clattering on to the ground as he did the same.

Fern was heavily regretting leaving his face exposed while in the presence of Bendy. He didn’t know what or why the other was compelled to show any affection to him- Was it pity? Or was he just being weird? What kind of guy just randomly kisses people in the first place? As he contemplated these thoughts, Fern seemed to physically shut down, looking completely frazzled while his cheeks had turned a deeper shade of green. The contemplation quickly ended though, as Fern followed up the kiss by aggressively smacking Bendy off of his face. “What the heck, dude?”

“...Neat.”Green Knight had come to the decision that it was the best one he had gotten yet. The sword looked cool as heck! The second gift, however…Green Knight wasn’t thrilled by it. No matter how confident he thought himself to be, just the offer of food was enough to throw him off, memories of attempting to guzzle bottles upon bottles of root bear distastefully rising up in his mind. Green Knight stuck his tongue out in distaste, sadly looking down at the meatloaf. How come the only time he could eat it was when he didn’t want to eat anything at all? What a waste of good food! Maybe he’d try it later, if it didn’t spoil by then.

“You..Brought that for me?” Sure, had been given a gift or two earlier. But Ice Princess was the first fresh face around to remember he existed. He didn’t even care that it looked a little freezer-burnt. Once he had taken the jacket, Green Knight tried to put it on. Only for his spikes to rip through the recently thawed fabric. He frowned, the lines under his eyes deepening from the mental fatigue of managing to ruin something good that he was given. He sighed, then took the jacket off while looking to the side. The jacket might have been oversized, but on the likes of him, it barely could reach his elbows. “…Thanks, but I don’t think it fits.”

Most of the chestnuts are deflected by his helmet, but two get stuck in the holes in his face.

He didn’t want to give Fern any satisfaction, so instead he retorted with. “Your aim is off.” Yeah, like that made him seem any better.

The thrown branch harmlessly bonks off of his helmet. He doesnt feel a thing.

"I'm on patrol." Was that not obvious? Now Demencia was giving him an actual reason for rolling his eyes at her, besides for just by being in her presence. "It's to keep tresspassers out. That's guarding-a-kingdom 101, man." He picked off a fallen leaf that had managed to impale itself on one of his shoulder spikes, and nonchalantly tossed it aside. Something about him was a lot more muted than usual, he was tired of dealing with Demencia, and it showed.

"Can you do me a favor and stab yourself this time? That would save me a lot of trouble."

He acted purely on impulse.Like usual, hanging around his dead self had led to another argument. That was all he and Fern ever did. The only change this time was that it was over something stupid, something stupid and personal. It would have just ended as all their fights did, one of them would bring up a valid point, and the other would retreat, refusing to continue the conversation. But this time, Fern had decided to bring out the big guns.“…Gumbald is using you! You’re…letting yourself work with someone that’s just some gummy, smart version of Martin!” Green Knight’s dead-self finished, raising his clenched fists into the air, the fury and pain in his words and expression directed at himself, Green Knight, and the many failures of father figures in the land of Ooo. And Green Knight had nothing to counter it. His words had been caught in his throat, and all he could do was stare at his alternate self in outrage. How could he? How dare he? There was some unspoken agreement between the two until this point, and Fern just threw it out the window, directly on to Green Knight’s face.Green Knight’s entire body bristled, the grass around his mouth morphing into triangular teeth. He pulled his sword-arm back, then thrust it through the other Ferns stomach, using it to raise the others now limp body. “They are nothing alike!” He snarled, more in denial than anything else. With the wave of his sword, he threw Fern’s grassy projection to the side. Green Knight wasn’t even aware of the fact that the other was virtually immortal, that attacking Fern’s physical form did nothing.But he was the emotional equivalent of a pot of water that had boiled over, exacting its burning hot fury on the nearest soul that crossed its path.
