La Catrina
Laura: We had delicious ice cream in a Restaurant called La Catrina. I had chocolate ice cream. I sat on a car thing that you put a coin In and It moves. The people serving had painted their faces skeletony like and wearing very pretty dresses for Dia De Los Muertos ( I think ). The place was nice very bright and close to the park. It was a very good location it was very close to the church
My Ratings
Chocolate ice cream - 9 out of 10
Andres: I was blown away by the beautiful make up a couple of the waitresses had in advance of the celebration of the Day of the Dead. It was very well done and just that detail gave the place a very distinct atmosphere. This more than compensated for a very cramped (but very well located) Cafe. La Catrina has a decent facade and its right on the park. It has just a few tables inside but you are better off sitting somewhere in the park and do some people watching while you enjoy your ice cream/coffee.
Payment and ordering are a bit cumbersome - you pay on one side, order your ice cream on other and your coffee on yet another place. However service was very friendly and coffee was not bad (and I heard Ice Cream was very good).
Ratings:
Food: 7 - coffee was good but milk was warmed too much damaging flavor.
Atmosphere: 6- Looks good from outside but inside is not inviting at all. Location is very good.
Service: 8 -The best thing. Staff was very friendly and taking good care of customers.
