if you’re comfortable please talk about your late kitty to us! We’d love to hear, I had a cat who I loved so much but sadly passed away when I was 22. her name was Gracie 🥺🫂
awwww, you’re so sweet!
my kitty’s name was lulu and she was a tuxedo cat with cutest squeaky meow. had her since she was a itty-bitty kitten. she was the smallest in her litter and took her home in a bird box. growing up she did love boxes, eating plastic (like wrappers, string, grocery bags, tape, etc—which i’m surprised that didn’t kill her, but she did always throw it back up) and would call her a ‘plastic addict’ because she’d go around purposely looking for some and getting into the trash… she loved being outside especially in the backyard of my childhood home, being so brave to climb up the old playhouse stairs and sit in the windowsill looking around like she was on top of the world. i would sometimes call it ‘lulu’s clubhouse’ because it became her favorite place to be. she also loved her pink pom-pom ball. i would catch her playing with it by herself, carrying it around in her mouth only to drop it and pounce and swat at it. she still had that kitten-like playfulness. but would get embarrassed if she caught you looking at her as she played. she was an independent, but shy girl. she was so very sweet and gentle, and could see the love, trust, and affection she had for you in her eyes and actions.
she had been through so much in her later years, and her quality of life was rapidly declining to the point where she had gotten skinny and was so light when picking her up, weighing nothing. her eyesight was awful. she would hardly eat. barely moved and when she did she’d stumble. it was a sign that it was time…
she was 16 when she passed. best 16 years of my life was with her. it hasn’t been the same since her passing. i try to incorporate her and honor her in whatever projects i do.
i have her beautiful box of ashes on my dresser, on an elevated gold tray surrounded by a candle, her favorite ball, and a picture of her and i when i had first gotten her when i was 8 years old.
best cat in the world.
