          his heeled boots came to a halt, if the floor beneath           was brittle enough they would’ve surely dug into it           by now. it was difficult to understand why HE had           come to the camp for his hunting division. thoughts           were already etching themselves into his mind.

          in all fairness, Hǔ rarely came to the jailer with           those willing to betray their own kind for survival.           seeing as they generally fell to his blade otherwise,           at least, when he felt it. hands rested on his hips,           an opaque gaze cast towards her.
