Devon didn’t just have herself to protect but she also had to protect her little girl and when it came to her mom instincts they were on point. Her instincts made her more aware of everything around her and that’s why she was able to hear the small twig snap. She locked the cabin door where her daughter laid sleeping and she found her way behind the woman who seemed to have been watching them “ Turn around slowly, I will shoot you if I have too. ”
Tara only needed a place to stay for the night. She hadn’t meant to lurk, she hadn’t even meant to stalk this small group. When she peaked in the windows, she was surprised that there was anyone occupying it. When the twig snapped beneath her boot, she mentally cursed her inability to be stealthy. She was going to leave, try not to leave a trace that she was even there. She would leave them be in hopes that they would do the same for her. But, then she felt the presence behind her. “Shit--” She muttered. She held her hands up, open palmed and turned to face the other woman. “What’s up?”
