“ I’m sick and tired of losing people. ” Judith cried out as her body gave out from the grief of the new lose she had to deal with. She was strong, so very strong but nothing could prepare her for this.
“ It hurts so much, I want it to stop, I want it all to stop — I hate this life, this world — it isn’t f … fair. ”
A TIME CAME WHEN EMPATHY TURNED TO APATHY, sadness that was once so simple to calm and sooth, as it was shared by all, had quickly begun turning into something else entirely - feelings which didn’t quite warrant the time they took out of the day, seeing as there was almost certainly something worse waiting right around the corner. a point would be reached when tears were ignored, even shunned, and looking the other way was deemed more than acceptable. those days were quickly approaching, but eric wasn’t quite there yet.
without having received permission to do so eric was at judith’s side, wrapping his arms around her as if she were his own daughter. nothing could be said to fix the problem, but he knew that sometimes the feeling of not being alone was a step in the right direction.
❝ you’re right - it isn’t fair. everything you have to deal with is the opposite of fair, but you have all of us, and we’re all here when you need to talk about just how unfair it is. ❞
