Ivan Tsarevich took the needle and plunged it into the magic egg and Kashchei the Immortal fell to the ground as if he were dead and his creatures died as well with screams of agony. The spell being broken, the stone warriors became real men and embraced their now freed princesses and, oh wonder of wonders, the Firebird herself was transformed into a woman more beautiful than the sun.
Ivan Tsarevich went back to his father’s kingdom with the Firebird and the warriors who were released from the spell along with their wives. Upon their arrival, Tsar Berendey held a feast for them all that lasted seven days and seven nights to which the whole of Russia was invited.
And Ivan Tsarevich and the Firebird lived together for many years, had many children, and the kingdom prospered for as long as his sons reigned.
