kitty stood in front of the tall mirror as she looked at herself with the cap and gown on. the graduation ceremony had ended a couple hours earlier and the earlier events had winded down for the day. she sighed as she took the cap and tossed it onto her bed. part of her couldn't believe she had made it, but maybe after everything she'd been through. "here's to a brighter future," she spoke to herself as she tried to reach behind her back to unzip and unhook her graduation gown.

“you were one of the few that always remembered my name, even if you were always so focused on your solos in glee club,” kitty shrugged. this was a rare moment for her, showing any kind of vulnerability. being forgotten back then had sucked and while she had grown past for the most part it still lingered. “most people don’t even know kitty is my actual name. a lot of people used to assume it was short for katherine or even kathy.”

kitty froze up, not exactly sure how to react and yet knowing she’d have to attempt something anyways. “wait for what,” she tried to play it off a bit innocently. she didn’t want to talk about it outright just yet.
