                the clock on the small screen read 23 minutes ever since jae sent his message and about 20 since the recipient read it but even after all that time has passed, jae still finds himself starring at the screen, awaiting a reply.                 but then again, it was quite late. the previous day had just passed and the city of seoul once again had their time refreshed in time for a new day. jae bit his bottom lip at the screen in an attempt to calm his frenzied nerves. maybe the male had already fallen to a deep slumber ( but why would he read the text and not reply? ) or he forgot to answer ( or maybe jae is just too unappealing ).                 when the 'ding!' of his phone was heard, jae had quickly fumbled through his pocket to fish out the device. his manager would probably scold him for slacking off on the job but it didn't matter to him at the moment. he was just happy that his new friend ( are they friends? jae hopes so. ) managed to answer his text. with a wide grin, he pressed the home button to light the screen of his phone but as soon as he scanned through the reply, his heart sunk.                he should have known better than to expect anything more. even after all these years of getting screamed at by multiple foster parents, jae forgets that he is nothing more but a waste of space.
