if what you need is something like browning pigment that absorbs the radiation stuff, why don't they just whip up some of that in a lab and give you injections?
sadly, science hasn’t whipped up a replacement browning pigment for inside the body yet
but actually, we have developed a solution that works sort of similarly! It’s called UV-opaque cream! UV-opaque cream is that stuff that’s used by performers to keep their skin tone steady for movies and stuff, but it’s also is a key part of the treatment for browning disorders :O isn’t that cool? :D
you see, it keeps the performers from browning by blocking the UV, a lot like browning pigment does for your cells in your skin, and that’s exactly what people with browning disorders need ^_^
UV-opaque cream is made of the minerals titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. but these don’t work exactly like browning pigment though, they mostly reflect and scatter light rather than absorbing it all.
in fact, that’s why you see celebrities with weird white reflections on their face like they’re living mirrors sometimes: they’re wearing UV-opaque cream and it’s reflecting the flash from the camera! XD

maybe one day, science will develop a UV-opaque cream that only absorbs light like real browning pigment does, but in the mean time I get to have a laugh at performers who don’t wear it often enough to know to tell people to turn off the flash! ^_^
