As Ford goes to investigate what the Operator is doing with the kids... any alarms he carried with him regarding his lab, his research, his place, starts to go off. Some go off and then are shut off by whatever- whoever is there.
If he has a means of looking remotely, the cameras are fuzzy, glitching, but the figure inside is humanoid... yellow with black head and red face. the footage wouldn't last long, before they notice the camera as well, and move to cut the feed...
Someone or something has definitely broken in... but the kids are also in danger.
A choice to make.
Choose wisely.

Something is wrong. It brings Stanford Pines to a halt before he makes his trek into the forest to find his family. A sort of... uneasiness washes over him, a sense of dread, and he isn't sure why. Immediately, his eyes dart about as if he's looking for someone who might be watching from behind the trees, someone bitterly familiar but should be long dead. But the forest is as it should be; still, green and warm from the sunlight filtering through the trees.
"Who goes there? Show yourself!" He calls to no one, hoping there won't be an answer. And there isn’t. He's alone.
And then he realizes it's the beeping of the device he has strapped to his belt that alerts him to potential threats to the Mystery Shack. Until now, it was quiet, there only for the what if scenarios he'd lived through in his nightmares. His brother called him paranoid, but he called himself prepared for anything.
Someone must have broken in. Did that someone have the children? Were they searching for him, now? Some selfish part of him wondered if they were there for his research, for access to knowledge that no man should have. World ending knowledge.
"Shit," he whispers under his breath, turning suddenly to go back the way he came, six fingers hovering over the gun attached to his hip. Stanley had the forest covered, and he knew his brother could hold his own. Ford had to know what was lurking around his lab and quickly before they found something they shouldn't see. This something could have something to do with the children's disappearance. There are too many what ifs, too many variables to ignore the blaring siren.
Soos is standing there on the porch, oblivious to the danger they could all be in at that moment. He waves when Ford breaks from the woods. "Hey Stan 2. How's it hangin'?"
"Did you see anyone come in the house? Anyone at all?" Ford asks, not slowing his stride as he takes inventory of the situation. Soos appears unhurt and woefully unprepared. He puts a finger to his chin and thinks.
"Just a couple of dudes, I think?"
"Shit!" Ford says again, pushing past him as the beeping becomes faster, making a beeline for the vending machine.
