even to someone as oblivious as kou, the presence doesn't go unnoticed. which is a little bit of a surprise. at first he'd thought that jinyoung had been dragged into the crazy preparations of project green ( whatever that was ) – but then he'd hardly see him at the axis building, or feeding the cats, or anywhere, really.

and the realization that he wasn't included in the christmas event at lotte had sort of solidified what kou had suspected. still, he isn't exactly the type to go around asking people what had happened, he's not too sure if it's even his place after all. people get busy, and things happen, that's really the only conclusion that kou can come to.

but his short curiosity about jinyoung's sudden disappearance is quickly overshadowed by what he can only refer to as his worry for joomi. somewhere along the line, kou had put two and two together, and figured that of all people, the guy that joomi might've been referring to was jinyoung.

it isn't hard to spot joomi at the axis building at least, and through his pure persuasion ( just asking joomi out ), he's managed to bring his friend out for some drinks at an eatery they'd both frequent.

kou has never really been the type to beat around the bush – if only because he's always had a straightforward demeanour, and has never quite thought of things much. still, he pours a drink for joomi. it's been a while since the both of them have been able to catch up anyway.

"are you okay?" he finally asks, "i just realized that jinyoung isn't around anymore."
