"Isn't it weird to think that people are selling Halloween masks of us...?"
The masks weren't completely spot on, given that no one had really gotten to see them up close, but that hadn't put a stop to some attempts to capitalize on their popularity - even if some of these masks looked way off...!
"Does this mean we've...made it?"
Ren picks up the plastic mask that’s supposed to be their own, a little smile on their face. Out of all of the thieves, Joker masks seem to be the most accurate. Probably due to that up close shot of him when they did Shido's calling card.
❝ I don't think it's too weird. Kinda fun, actually.❞
For the hell of it, he puts the mask on. It could never feel or look like the real thing. There was something otherworldly about how they all looked in the cognitive world. Looking anywhere close to that magical in the real world would require a lot of detail cosmetic work on their costumes, or their hair and make up. God, imagine all the glitter...
At least those differences helps them further conceal their identities.
❝ What, to pop culture status?❞ They ask, their smile widening, before Joker slips into their voice for a dramatic declaration, ❝ Watch out, Skull! The enemy wants to turn us into marketable plushies...!❞
