basic oc information;

fennec / fenn wood elf, male, roughly 173+ years old. he's generally a good guy, but not always a nice guy. will usually do the right thing.

lighter skin, though it has a greenish hue. darker hair, brown with almost a purple undertone. eyes are somewhat red, somewhat gold-- depends a bit on the lighting. the area around his eyes has a reddish-purple hue making him appear a bit tired or sick, though he otherwise isn't. has antlers. has multiple scars, including a few on his face (across his nose, beneath one of his eyebrows, along his bottom lip). height is average, leaning tall.

he's a highly skilled archer (his specialty), but he's skilled with knives as well.

lio

human / reptilian, male, age is unknown (appears to be in his 20s-30s physically). tends to look out for himself above others. capable of being a decent guy, but can also be kind of mean.

medium tan complexion. rich, deep black hair with a subtle blue undertone. eyes like molten gold with vertical slits. perfectly, yet eerily, clear and unblemished skin-- no marks, no scars, no tattoos or piercings, nothing. has scaled patches of skin along his spine, sternum, and ribcage as well as a prehensile tail (that he often hides)-- all a shade of golden bronze. short king.

he's a fighter, not a lover. skilled with knives, both at close range and at a distance.

human (or mutant, whatever), male, in his 20s. laid back, carefree, kind of lazy and generally nice, but not always a good person. decent overall.

light-medium olive complexion. cotton candy hair (half blue, half pink & split down the middle). naturally hazel eyes, but a big fan of colored contacts so the color perceived is liable to change at will. shark teeth. paints his nails. a few beauty marks, a few tattoos (mostly video game and media based), a few scars here and there but none on his face. height is fairly average.

video game manipulation is his whole thing.

demon / eldritch terror, male, age is unknown (frequently appears to be in his 20s-30s physically, though this can change). not a nice guy or a good guy. neutral occasionally leaning evil.

eerily, inhumanly pale skin, deathly in appearance. veins can clearly be seen beneath his skin and those nearest his wrists and hands appear more black or blue-black than blue, green, or purple. the tips of his fingers are an inky black, as are his toes. hair is the deepest black fathomable; it can't and won't catch the light. deep, blood red eyes that definitely suggest predator and not prey. smaller in height and stature (but still taller than lio).

he's giving shadow monster, master of darkness and fear, idk.

 the backstory lowdown.

goes by lio. if he has a surname, he doesn’t know it. unsure of his precise age either.

he can’t remember his childhood basically at all, family included, so don’t bother asking.

no memory whatsoever of where he’s from either. he doesn’t think about this kind of stuff much to be honest. there’s not much point.

he does, however, remember the lab. he hates the lab. and all the people that worked within it.

he was definitely fully human at one point, although he doesn’t recall too much of what that was like. he was young when they began using him as a little lab rat– just a kid, he thinks.

had a ‘childhood’ friend at one point, he’s pretty sure. when he was younger, after all the experimentation started. he isn’t sure what happened to them, though. they could be alive, they could be dead. unfortunately it’s hard to say.

being a little guinea pig (very much against his will, mind you) left him as… something else. human, yes, but also… not. his dna is different, it’s changed, it’s mutated. reptilian. 

he has a very close and intimate relationship with pain. they aren’t friends. but he’s used to it. as such, his tolerance for it is very high.

he’s used to needles, but he strongly dislikes them. ironically, though, he’s developed something of a fondness for blades. he likes them far more when he’s the one using them, however.

the lab that he grew up in is no longer in business. he had something of a hand in that. the site left behind wasn’t exactly pretty.

no strong or close relationships of note. he’s moved around a fair amount. part of him wants to settle down, but the rest of him isn’t quite sure about how to do so. or if it’s even safe to do so– some of the bad people are still out there, after all.

personality & stuff.

quiet. more of a listener than a talker. you can yap while he remains silent and attentive (or dissociates… whichever).

generally comes across as calm and collected and is pretty good at keeping a level-head in most situations.

tends to think logically and with his head rather than his heart, which has its pros and cons depending.

definitely not a ‘heart on his sleeve’ kind of guy. has a very thick skin.

difficult to fluster and not easily embarrassed by much of anything. he’s also virtually impossible to scare. probably because he’s seen and/or been through just about everything.

has a very high pain tolerance for very upsetting and concerning reasons.

pretty blunt and straight-forward. not at all someone to sugarcoat things or beat around the bush. likewise, very honest and sometimes painfully so.

not a liar, but he does hide or omit things. it’s not the same, okay.

he, himself, is generally trustworthy as a whole, but he doesn’t trust others easily.

can be cold, can be calculating, can be cunning, and he’s always clever. 

given that he’s more of a listener, it follows that he’s also an observer. he notices just about everything, for better or worse.

tends to put himself before others, particularly given that he doesn’t have much experience with others– you know, friendships, good or healthy relationships in general. 

has a pretty skewed and jaded view of the world and in humanity itself. people have a history of doing him dirty.

sharp-tongued and sarcastic. can be a bit biting and condescending at times. can be a little mean even. it’s usually not personal.

isn’t exactly shy about disliking others. so, if he’s not a fan of you, you’ll probably know.

doesn’t know how to flirt and will almost definitely not know if you’re flirting with him. zero experience romantically.

don’t touch him without his permission unless you want to get hurt.

takes things pretty literally most of the time.

the crushworthy appearance.

short king at 5’6”

eyes are like molten gold with vertical slit pupils. stunning, eye-catching, yet also kind of eerie. particularly when he doesn’t blink for an oddly lengthy amount of time.

rich, deep black hair with blue undertones that really catch in the light. undercut, fluffy up top (mostly straight, but with a hint of wave at the ends). not quite ear length along the sides, but a bit longer in the back.

straight, full brows. not super expressive, yet somehow intense when combined with those eyes of his.

medium tan complexion, golden undertones. warm. seemingly no imperfections. sharp, well balanced features.

cupid lips with a pronounced philtrum. very kissable looking but, honestly, he’s more likely to bite.

sharp and pronounced canines. jaw strength is lowkey insane.

no piercings, no scars, disturbingly unblemished. does, however, have some scaled patches of skin along his spine, sternum, and ribcage. the scales are a rich shade of golden bronze.

he also has a tail. it’s usually hidden, but he has one. also scaled, also golden bronze. long. a bit thicker at the base, but it gets thinner and thinner the more that it tapers out.

slim, fit build. torso is a bit longer. fairly average for the most part.

long palms, long fingers. long feet, long toes. fingernails grow pretty quickly and can get a bit claw-like. very sharp. 

expressions are usually subtle, but they can definitely be read, particularly when he’s feeling something negative. or when he doesn’t like someone.

wears a lot of darker colors. doesn’t enjoy wearing anything bright or flashy. and definitely not the type to accessorize.

prefers to dress casual. jeans and t-shirts, hoodies, and zip-ups. also likes being warm and cozy– wears lots of long sleeves, loves a good pair of sweatpants, and tends to wear socks with high topped shoes (sneakers like converse, boots, etc).

really needs to bundle up in the winter and during the colder months. multiple layers, thermals, big, warm coats, gloves, face masks, beanies, the whole nine yards. likely also has heat packs stuffed just about anywhere that he can put them.

looks bored or tired most of the time to be honest.

the (not so) infamous abilities.

given that he’s kind of part lizard… one could expect him to have some equally lizard-like qualities, quirks, and abilities. one would also be very much correct.

his reptilian dna affects him on multiple levels– from his physical appearance (which has already been mentioned above) to the things that he’s capable of, to his likes and dislikes and the things that affect him. 

his skin might appear (mostly) normal, but it’s a bit thicker than you’d think and provides him with an additional source of protection against both injuries and dry climates, which affect him significantly less than the average person.

he’s got crazy good reflexes and his reaction time is roughly 1.5-2x that of a normal human. he’s not the easiest guy to hit.

a flexible fellow to be sure.

he can see more colors than regular humans can. he also has better than average night vision.

the king of freezing on the spot. he can freeze up and remain completely still, totally unmoving, like nobody’s business. barely even breathing even. a little statue of a guy.

so quiet. so sneaky. very good at hiding.

he’s fast as fuck, boy. or he can be when he wants or needs to be.

he can regenerate to a point. if you were to cut off his fingers and toes, appendages in general (tail included), they’d probably all grow back. if you were to cut off his head or rip out his heart or destroy his brain, however, those things would all absolutely kill him. he’s not invincible.

sharp teeth. sharp fingernails. can certainly do more damage than one might think.

unfortunately ectothermic. cold-blooded (and hates it) and cannot properly regulate his own body temperature. his internal temperature is affected by his environment. heat good, cold bad. colder temps tend to make him weaker and slow him down.

he has a tail; a prehensile tail. he tries to hide it if and when he can (particularly depending on where he is and what company he’s with), but it’s definitely there. it’s always there. and it can be quite the useful appendage since it can pick things up and hold them, help to anchor him or help him climb (he’s a good climber), and can even be used as a weapon. you know, when needed.

his tongue is a bit longer than average. not super useful outside of… certain activities. but you know. or not given that he hasn’t really put it to use before.

he’s strong. not like… superman strong or anything, but he’s definitely stronger than he looks.

good in hand to hand combat. also good with knives and daggers. the occasional sword or spear as well (a baseball bat even), although his preference lies with the smaller weapons.
