His neck is just a toothpick with a whole buncha paint slapped on top so he’s kinda like a less functional bobblehead that becomes slightly more breakable with each bobble.

link launches himself but dies landing ass side up
The Accident
“Okay,” Zelda breathes, like too loud a noise will spark off an explosion, “okay. Everything’s fine.”
Right. Slow and methodical. She inspects the Sheikah machine carefully. No signs of damage; no cracks in the grey stone, light glowing steadily from the grate in the front. Next she looks over the Master Sword that Link had so kindly loaned her, quiescent and flawless as always.
Then, reluctantly, she turns back around to face the room.
The strange lady is still there.
She’s also floating, which is not ideal, because! What if she STOPS floating! And falls! There’s delicate equipment in here and also she might get hurt!
Distantly Zelda’s aware that she’s focusing on the wrong thing, but if she thinks too hard about the woman’s blue skin - the smoothness of her face and hands as if she’d been carved from marble - the odd way her dress flutters in the airless lab - the floating - she’s going to have some kind of breakdown. And what if the woman wakes up? Zelda doesn’t deal with people, that’s what Link is for-!
As if summoned by the thought, the lab door clunks and creaks open in a distinctly abrupt way. “In here, Link,” she calls automatically, then cringes.
Undisturbed by her voice, the woman sleeps on.
Link navigates the crowded lab with typical grace, knocking over at least two stacks of books and something that makes a metallic clatter. Zelda doesn’t bother to go look. He’ll pick it all up again, and besides which she has. Other concerns. Right now.
Link’s deliberately loud bootsteps come to a sudden halt in the doorway.
“Um,” says Zelda. She doesn’t say “I can explain!” because honestly, she can’t. She was just looking for a way to make communicating with the spirit of the Master Sword easier, not - not summon a living crystal statue!
Again, she steals a glance at the Master Sword. The blue and purple wrappings of the hilt, the elegant sweep of the crossguard. Looks back at the woman, blue and purple and palest green, familiar patterning winding round her legs.
Link steps up beside her, nudges her with his shoulder. His eyes are also fixed on the strange person in Zelda’s personal lab.
“Make a new friend, Zel?” Link asks. His voice is still a shock, hearing it come so easily.
“I don’t think so,” Zelda says. “More like a very, very old one.”
The woman’s hand twitches again, and curls closer to her side.
