Nora came jogging back over from the pool and sat on the lounger next to them. It was their first holiday together. A pretty big deal. “Hey,” She said with a grin before leaning to press a kiss to their cheek. Her hand rested on their thigh gently as she continued to speak. “Anything interesting happening in that book of yours? Nora was sat on the living room floor cleaning all of her leather gear when she heard the front door open. “Hey babe,” She called over her shoulder with a light smile on her face. Her attention turned back to the task at hand very quickly though. It had been a long time since she’d cleaned absolutely all of her leather stuff, so it was quite satisfying to get done actually. “How was your day? The kettle’s not long boiled so there should be hot water still if you want coffee or anything.” Nora had no reason to leave the house all day so she’d been lounging around in a sports bra and flippy shirts since she got out of bed. | @consteilaticns

How did you imagine your future would look like? Like -- Some people think they’ll be in an apartment, others think of a big house with a picket fence and a garden. Nora was acutely aware that their relationship was very nontraditional. So this year for Valentine’s Day, Nora had decided to take it more traditional than it could ever be. “Hey babe,” She called through to the bathroom. “I have one more thing for you,” There was a grin on her face as she dug the letter out from her bag. Hey, angel. First off, Happy Valentine’s Day. If I haven’t mentioned it lately, I love you. A whole lot. Completely and utterly adore you. Spend every job just thinking about coming home to you kinda level.
Honestly I kind of imagined that I would settle down one day but not so soon, not with someone so cool, and not with someone who’s so great. I couldn’t appreciate you more honestly. I love how curious you are about my job, and how understanding you are of it. I love how open you are to learning. I appreciate how interested you always are in hearing stories about work. I love how excited you get talking about your job. I love watching you talk! I love watching you make coffee in the morning. The list could go on, really.
I know we’ve only really just moved in together but there’s still so much to be excited for. I’m really excited to get engaged? I’m sorry if that’s scary for you. Things were still very fresh. They’d only been in the place a week and there was still furniture to be bought, boxes to unpack. Nora had woken up early so that’s what she decided to do. She was sorting through the kitchen drawers and tidying them up when she heard the sound of footsteps in the distance. “Hiya,” She beamed as Mila entered the room. “Oh, hi,” Nora forced a grin across her face. She hated university reunions, she really did. The only reason she attended them anymore was because her one and only friend from University would always drag her along. What was worse though was that her friend would always force her to meet people. Nora was now face to face with the latest recruit. “Sorry -- Hi. I’m Nora. My friend has this habit of dragging people over to talk to me because I usually won’t talk to anyone other than her. I’m sorry.” | @oeleonora
