i might be dissatisfied and anxious about a lot of things, especially turning 30 this month, but today i woke up next to a woman i really like (after we danced all night to siouxsie sioux with a jolly bunch of older goths and undergrad students) and made a lovely breakfast that was interrupted by a visit from a good friend and her girlfriend (who brought me hommade lunch cause they know i love spinach curry and am home alone for the rest of the weekend). frankly, i don’t know if it matters who and what my 16 y/o self would’ve wanted me to be at this point in life but these past couple of years i’ve been feeling showered with love and affection and i think prioritizing my relationships with other people helped tremendously with getting out of my own head n staying a bit more present and just appreciating things for what they are, watching them change and evolve without overwhelming sense of dread.  probably the best decision i’ve ever made.
