“Hey sweetie,” Rose offered a warm smile, throwing her arms around her friends shoulders. “I’m sorry,” Due to Rose’s career, there were often times when a friend was going through a hard time but she wasn’t able to be there. When she was there though, she was completely there. A small bag of some overnight essentials was to her left and a shopping back was to her right. She pressed a kiss to her friends cheek before stepping back to pick those bags up. “The only think in my calendar for the next week at least is you.” | @prcttyliics​

“You know you could still get out of this if you wanted to,” Rose turned in the car to look over at Noah. For some reason she’d let her agent convince her that bringing Noah to an industry party would be a good idea. “It’s just going to be a lot of very fancy people trying to one up each other, a lot of egos being thrown around,” Her hand slid over to hold his. “You could just stay in the car when I get out and the driver can take you home. I wouldn’t judge at all. I promise.” Part of her nerves came from the fact that Rose knew she easily slipped into all of it too. Her humour was sharp and she had no tolerance for a lot of the people there, which meant there was the occasional bitchy comment or two from her. Rose was only really at the party so that she could say she showed her face. Garden parties weren’t exactly her cup of tea. They were very formal, together - And severely lacked the kind of fun she preferred. Rose sauntered around, maxi dress flowing behind her as she did so. This was her other issue with daytime garden parties: The hardest drinks available were wine or prosecco. In Rose’s world, they were practically tap water. The only good thing she’d found about the party so far was the fact that it gave her an excuse to wear the maxi dress, which elegantly showed off her shoulder and back. It was never something she’d wear for a regular day, but also definitely wasn’t something she put on for a night out. Lips pursed, she headed to the bar for her next glass of wine. Her eyes gazed around casually. No one here even looked that fun... Apart from the gentleman who’d joined her at the bar. “Hi,” Rose said with a gentle flirty smile. She offered out her hand. “Rose. Oh my god, she hated herself. Rose wasn’t the type to fall for people. She didn’t pine after people. She didn’t do crushes. They were pathetic. And yet here she was, hopelessly doting on a colleague. “Yeah sure,” Rose sighed and nodded, having quickly been snapped out of her daze. “Sorry what did you ask again?” | @rcsecolor​

Rose’s dating history was certainly colourful. Between short relationships, Rose filled her time with flings. One thing she’d never tried was a blind date. Considering her career, she’d always found them quite a risky route. But in a moment of weakness she’d agreed to let a friend set her up on one. That was two weeks ago. In the build up, Rose had been incredibly nervous. Of course that didn’t show as she arrived at the restaurant. Dressed in an elegant pale yellow corset tulle dress, she arrived exactly on time. “What do you mean you’re spending New Years Eve with your family?” Rose folded her arms over her chest. “You promised me that you’d come to Taylor’s New Years Eve party with me.” | @ncnfinite​

“Right, so he asked you out on a date - What’s the big deal?” Rose looked over to her best friend from the couch. They’d be pacing back and forth across the room for at least five minutes now. “Whatever the problem is, I can fix it. Just stop pacing for the love of god,” She chuckled gently before rolling her eyes. “Short on nice clothes? I’ll cover you. Worried about what happens if things head to the bedroom? I’m sure I’ve got some lingerie samples that I haven’t worn that you can have.” | @misbehcve​

As the chorus of the Rihanna track kicked in, Rose set down her make up brushes and grabbed her glass to lift it and sing along. The pair had been planning this night out for days. They’d even made a special shopping trip to get new outfits. Once the chorus was over, Rose set her glass back down. “I’m so excited about tonight. I just have a really good feeling,” She’d booked a VIP table and table service in a popular club. It wasn’t quite A-List celebrity but it certainly pulled in names and knew how to give people a good time. “I know that I don’t want to be back before 3am, earliest.” | @stoneceiling​
