“What’s so weird about that, Rue?” You might be asking. Well, the “benevolent” system feels bad for SJ and how much he’s suffered… So the system connects SJ to XF.
After SJ prays XF has an email pop up on his computer. It’s a person asking for guidance because they aren’t sure where to go from there. They talk about how they are treated and that they only have themselves to rely on but they’re also the most unreliable person they know and they ask XF for advice and guidance.
XF initially thinks of it as a joke or a pity fishing scam but because he’s been stressed out lately he just decides to humor whoever it is and get some good karma. He types out a response rather quickly, hits send, and thinks nothing of it.
Imagine SJ’s surprise when there’s a flicker of blue that flashes in front of him. He didn’t think praying would actually work, so when this weird letter materializes itself in his hands carrying that same faint blue glow, he’s just stunned.
The letter has some random bullshit in it. XF goes on about how nobody is lesser than anyone else and then he says something like if talking to them does nothing then leave them speechless and then he says something along the lines of like “knock ‘em dead” for encouragement. He honestly just pulled several motivational speeches from the web and mixed them together.
The system translates it into xianxia talk and delivers it to SJ.
Shen Jiu—who hasn’t spent that long in the sect and hasn’t yet learned how to read or write—is shocked to find that he can read and understand the contents of the letter.
He reads through it twice, looking at the glow of the words written down before he looks up at the sky, wondering if he’s hallucinating. Nonetheless he got an answer and he intends to do what it says… especially the last part.

Of course LQG and a few other bullheaded disciples still pester him, but like SJ feels kinda powerful…
He keeps the contents of the letter in his mind constantly.
The next time he prays for guidance is like months later—namely because he doesn’t think that a god would waste their time advising him again.
This time he’s experienced a blockage in cultivation and inquires about that, not honestly expecting a reply but still daring to hope.
Once again, XF gets an email. When he opens it the email is something along the lines of “Hey I took your advice before and it worked! Most of them stopped bothering me because I beat them up. Anyways I’m not sure what to do now. It feels like I’ve hit a wall in my pathway to cultivation and have found myself seeking guidance once again.”
The system translated it into modern talk for XF and XF’s like WHAT I DIDN’T MEAN ACTUALLY KNOCK THEM DEAD…
So XF types out another response backtracking. He’s like “Okay maybe violence isn’t the only answer. There’s different ways to get respect. And maybe you’re not progressing much (assuming SJ’s talking about like school or work) out of a sense of guilt or maybe it’s the fearful environment you created for you peers? Maybe lashing out wasn’t the best move, I think you should try to make amends. I’m sure there’s a misunderstanding.” Because he’s starting to think that it’s a real person now.
And the system translates it again, twisting his words.
SJ gets a letter that’s like “You’ve got power, make sure that you’re using it right. Don’t use fear as a tool. Your lashing out is the cause of your blockage, make amends and communicate. There’s definitely something you’ve misunderstood. Fix that and you’ll succeed” and it makes him think about YQ…
