Heva was stuck.

Elevatorstuck, one could call it.

Though he had pushed the emergency button a long time ago, nothing happened for the most part, the cold steel walls and mirrors being etched into his eyes an hour ago. Although he could use his powers, that could mean getting discovered by the enemy.  They had a method of detecting psychics. And if he got caught, it meant game over.

There was one other person in the elevator. Arche was well asleep. Heva’s comms were cut off. Might as well as pass some time, he thought.

“So, when do you think we’re going to get out of here?”

“UWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-“

Heva was doing this for some time now.

As he trampled across the blue grass, he rose a cacophony of panic and what sounded like annoyance- followed by what seemed to be a lovechild of a small whale and Anglerfish.

“STOP FOLLOWING MEEEEEEEE! AT LEAST GO LOOK FOR ATTENTION SOMEWHERE ELSE!” God, this guy was annoying. His name was Glyde or something? Why did he have to be so bothersome? Heva didn’t know. Although he was a psychic, that didn’t mean that he had all the answers to life’s most burning questions.

A maze was in front of them. The psychic charged forward, as the Anglerwhale crashed into the walls to the side.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAEEEExit, stage right.” And just as he said that, he took a 90-degree turn to right and charged as fast, until…

So.

This guy... gal... kid, yes, kid seemed like a good word- happened to be on the same boat the river person rowed. It was pleasantly and softly raining, the drops crashing down silently on the rock of this area they call “Waterfall".

It seemed that this child was a universal constant among these universes, just like everybody else in this rather large settlement- and an important one at that. He didn't know why, but everywhere in these forked dimensions, he saw the child in which the events of the timelines were being revolved around them. Perhaps as common courtesy, he should make some small talk.

“So... it’s a nice day. The rain’s nice.”
