So I just watched Ponyo for the first time.
When Ponyo kisses her lil guppy sister… when she runs into the glass window…when they stir honey into the tea…when she slurps her ramen sleepily…when the dad sends cute lil messages from his boat using morse code…when Ponyo runs on the tsunami fish with the biggest smile on her face…when the sea climbs the rock like a one eyed beast…when the sea goddess colours the water gold and pink…and she envelops us and says ‘be still’…when Ponyo and Sosuke dunk their lil heads in the water…when they pack their lil lunch…when the fish are using the highways underwater…when Ponyo squishes the baby’s lil face…when Sosuke wears his lil captain hat…when he gives the aunties his lil origami fish…when Ponyo says a sleepy lil ‘byebye’ to the burnt up candle…when she takes Sosuke’s hand to go look for Lisa…when the aunties are looking at whales with knees that don’t hurt anymore…when Lisa opens her arms for Sosuke to fall into them…when the aunties all hug them at the end…THAT’S THE STUFF AM I RIGHT
