I would say that Sousuke is painfully cynical, but very much pass the naïve phase. He will always assume that if you are asking him personally for something, it is most definitely for your own personal gain. Its rare that he will ever ask anyone for anything because he also assumes you'll want something of equal value in return and Sousuke hates feeling indebted to someone else.

Sousuke is outwardly cold and unfriendly sometimes, but most of the time its not intentional. He usually wont interact with people unless absolutely necessary and/or for business purposes.

Hard no. He hates dancing to someone else's tune. In most situations, he doesn't care what you think of him personally.
😔 - is your muse insecure?
No and yes. Its a little more complex than that.
No because what he does is dangerous and some view it as barbaric. But because of Sousuke's belief that he is effectively putting those who have lost themselves to the beast out of their misery. I would even go so far as to say that he's witnessed a great many deaths of people who absolutely didn't deserve the hand that fate has dealt them and that's effected his psyche heavily over the years. He truly believes what he's doing is the right thing to do even if it doesn't make sense to someone else.
But also yes, his work causes him to keep everyone at a distance because somewhere, somehow and someday fate will find a way to take those who he may hold dear away from him under the most tragic circumstance. He keeps what he does a secret because he knows that he'd be viewed as a murderer and a monster. I don't think he could handle someone coming to care for, or even love him, find out about what he does and then abandon him.
