Seohyung may have been the one who had called the staff when the fight happen. Emi had texted him that joon seemed pissed and was heading to the Galaxy. So, Seohyung had -maybe he had texted Bong Ki to ensure Joon hadn’t hurt himself.
He didn’t know how bad it was going to be. He had assume it would just be an argument - that Joon and Kyungjae wouldn’t hurt one another so badly that company property was going to be damaged and to mess up so badly that it would cause company wide punishments.
And selfishly...Seohyung wanted to be excluded from the punishment because after all! He ws the one who had told the staff what was going on! Who knows what would've happened if he hadn’t had told Bong Ki!
Okay to be honest...Bong Ki always had a weird sense when kids were messing up and getting into trouble. But, he knew that life wasn’t fair, and if he was getting into trouble he couldn’t complain...JUST getting it done and over with it.
God. Seohyung honestly wanted to die when he was called into the Prism’s lobby, dragging his feet with a slight pout.
He felt even more frustrated as he was being scolded, he didn’t do anything wrong, if anything he just didn’t understand why everyone was being punished.
But he supposed it was needed to make sure everything was in order. That the trainees would know not to fuck around from now on. And as Seohyung kneeled down and held his hand up, the young trainee realized that he was in trouble too, that his bubbling relationship with Byeol was against company policy.
That he couldn’t be high and mighty when he in fact also was breaking company law. And Seo wasn’t sure that hurt more, how sore his arms were getting or the guilt that was slowly eating up in his chest.
But..maybe it was worth it, that the chance to make Byeol happy, to feel that fluttering in his chest when he saw the idol.
He’ll just have to keep that part of his life to himself.
“Someday, you’ll blow us all away.” that’s what his mother used to say. Petting his hair as he sat down on her lap, singing along to whatever pop song playing on music core that week. A sweet smile and her eyes filled with hope, as if she was imagining the future of fame and fortunate for her youngest child.
When Seohyung was a child, that phrase brought the him a sense of pride. That his parents had so much hope for his future. That they were already proud of him. A phrase that played over in his head, as he went through the tough days of practice.
The phrase reenergized Seohyung when he wanted to clump down onto the floor and cry after a hard day of training.
But, as the boy grew older, and his parents began to fret over their child’s chance of debuting, that phrase brought more of a burden that Seohyung wasn’t sure he could carry anymore.
How that phrase repeated itself in his mind as he went over the lastest song he would practice. How it drilled into his head every time he couldn’t reach that one note. How he could see his parents’ disappointed face every time he video chatted with them, and informed them of the news of any future debut plans.
That phrase weighed him down. Panic washing the trainee as he rrealized a horrifying outcome that could become true. What if..what if he didn’t become anything.
What if he would remain a washed up trainee, with no future and his parents’ disappointment looming over him for the rest of his days.
After that realization, it became more and more noticeable how long Seohyung spent in the vocal rooms. His voice straining, during his breaks. The usually cheerful trainee’s face was gaunt as he shuffled out of the dance rooms, as his smile empty.
His tired face was apparent but so was the will in the young boy’s eyes.
No matter what, Seohyung was going to blow everyone away.
