         Alright, it was so damn nerve-wracking. 

         “No, no, c’mon...!” He wasn’t the most adept person when it came to the most meticulous of designs when he was nervous. Especially for occasions like this. Oh, he’d spent the greater part of the month preparing for it. Enough to have tossed his pride out the window and begged Sato to teach him everything he needed for the little, begged Yaoyorozu to help him gather the needed supplies.

          He sent every last moment of free time preparing, finding her gifts, practicing to make the treat he had taken to and decided would be the pinnacle of the series of gifts he would have for her. Getting up at the earliest possible time to help set up everything was the tricky part. A couple bags containing her gifts ( stuffies, jewelry, and especially a jacket he’d eagerly planned and designed months ago to serve as her very own hero merch, complete with ‘Songbird’ etched into the back in beautiful script with musical notes and lives in lovely stylized patterns ) were arranged at the table, arced around a vase of only the most beautiful flowers he’d selected specially for her. 

          It was no good to make it days before, the treat never tasted as good as it did fresher. So he had awoken to arrange everything and make the raindrop cake. Even if that ended up stressing him more, especially when it seemed design wasn’t going as planned, when icing had jammed them spurted out at his face and the walls when he tried to unjam the damn thing--

        “Fuck, fuck...!” He had to pull it together fast, he wished to have this done before she woke up--
