The brunette was thoroughly fucked and she felt great. She was even still catching her breath as she glanced over at the blonde beside her. How had they wound up there? How had she wound up in his bed? She didn’t know. She wasn’t sure he knew. She laughed a bit as she raised a brow at him.

“Only a maybe?” She grinned a bit and turned onto her side and snuggled up to his side. She didn’t know if he was a cuddler or not but she was and since he didn’t even buy her dinner, he could cuddle her. “Damn, I thought you were just as worn out as me.” She teased as she let her fingers trace his bare chest. He ran extremely warm too and that was a nice touch.

She didn't believe him. Why should she? Logically, she knew he did care about her. This was Embry Callahan she was talking to but still, the sixteen year old doubted. He'd leave just like all the rest, he'd leave her behind once he was done with her. Hadn't the team done just that too?

"Why do you care about me, Embry?" Aimee asked, looking at him with a sadness to her green eyes. One that shouldn't be there even at the ripe ole age of sixteen but she had been through hell the last couple of years.

"You shouldn't. I'm not worth it." The words are bitter as they leave her lips, words she believes since they'd been said enough to her by the team, by those who should be her friends. "I'm not anything with or without my powers, Embry. I'm nothing."

It was late and Dick Grayson was standing on the doorstep of her town house with a teenager in tow. She had told him she wanted nothing to do with the Titans and she still didn't. She had thought that had gotten through his thick skull but apparently that wasn't the case. Her face was one of stone as she stood in just her large sleep shirt and her hair down. She had been sleeping, finally after having been on a mission for a week, when she had been woken up by Ace barking and Reggie hissing. Her green eyes narrowed on the man who had once been her best friend. To say their relationship was strained was dumbing down the entire situation.

"You or the Titans?" She asked, a certain coldness in her tone. It reminded her of both her parents, maybe more her mother in that instance. She had always been told she had her father's black anger but she had her mother's coldness. No one could freeze and unfreeze their heart faster than Caroline Wayne.

"I thought me telling you to kiss my ass was more than enough reason for you not to come ask me for help. Shouldn't you be going to ask Hank and Dawn or maybe Donna?" She raised a brow at him. "Why is it that you come to me of all people, Dick? You have plenty of others to go to."

While it did hurt and it did piss her off, part of her, the small part of her, was glad he did come to her. She set her jaw. "Did you even ask Wally or Roy? Or have you bypassed them too? I bet Hank and Dawn turned you down, didn't they?" She rolled her eyes.

"No." The word comes out of the brunette's mouth so quickly, so sure, so desperate. She wouldn't, she couldn't, let him do it. She knew that logically it was going to be him. There was no other way but by all of Olympus she was going to find another fucking way. Aimee knew she was being selfish but everything had been going so well for them, had been going great... but now....

"Johnny, you can't go- I can't.... Johnny, I can't lose you too." It was a weak argument and she knew it as well as he did. He'd already made up his mind. He was the only one able to get there fast enough to stop the ship along with blowing it up. He'd blow himself up in the process too. Damn their bleeding hearts. She'd do the same if the roles were reversed.

Tears filled her eyes and one slipped down from behind her mask as she reached for his hand and pulled him to her before she wrapped her hand around his neck and brought his lips to meet hers. It was a final kiss, a final goodbye. She knew it as well as she did.

"I love you." She whispered the words she hadn't dared to utter before now but he needed to know. "I love you, Johnny Storm."

As she pulled back and he flew away, Aimee knew that'd be the last time she'd see him and she stood there and cried for the life they lost and the love that had been brief but it had been the best time she had ever had.

Between the cursing and the praying, Aimee wasn't sure what gods were listening anymore as she shouldered most of Garth's weight. He was practically dead weight at this point but she was cursing anyone and everyone who had thought it was a great idea to send the team on a mission in the fucking desert. "You just have to wait a little bit longer, alright, fishy?" Aimee was getting weaker too. She could feel the heat on her skin. It wasn't as bad as Garth. No, she knew he was going down and down fast. She didn't know how far they were. She didn't know where the water was and it wasn't like she could just winnow them out of there. They were only 17.

"Just a little bit longer, yeah? I'll get you out of here." She prayed she was right. She had to be or else they'd both be dead within hours.

"Just hold on for me, Garth."

"Maybe you should, Morse." The heiress of the Wayne name all but shouted as she looked at him, green eyes full of pain and desperation. She didn't want him to give up on her but what had she ever done to deserve his unwavering and unending love. What had she done to deserve that when she'd broken both of their hearts when they were younger?

"I'll only break us more." Her voice cracked as she shook her head. "I'll only destroy us in the end so why wouldn't you give up? I'm not worth fighting for anymore. Everyone I love and care about dies, Francis. They all die so what's the point of it all."

But all she wanted, all she had ever wanted was for him to scoop her back up into his arms and tell her she was wrong and maybe she'd believe him for a night. But in the end, he'd leave like he always did in her dreams.

There’s slight amusement in her green eyes as she stood in front of her younger brother. He was getting better but he was still a young fae, a young Illyrian warrior. She shrugged a bit as she leaned against her sword, her wings out as she stood in her fighting leathers, bright green siphons glowing.

“A little bit of both.” She grinned at him. “You know how much I love the drama, Rhysand. Now, stop fooling around and let’s get the hell out of here.”

Green eyes lifted to meet the winter court fae’s that was her mate. He was everything to her and she knew that she was everything to him. They were it for each other but he had saved her tonight when she didn’t think anyone would come. The fae nodded slowly as she moved into his arms, trembling still from fear and adrenaline. They had bound her but he’d gotten there before they had the chance to touch her. How embarrassing was it that the warrior princess of the night court had gotten captured?

She closed her eyes and breathed him in. He would save her. She knew that. He would come and save her every time.

“Take me home, Francis.” She whispered against his chest as she clung to him tightly. “Take me home… please.”
