So in your fic “gone but never forgotten”—were there ever any versions of how Laslow or Odin got kidnapped? Even if you never intended to write it, do you have any idea how it went down (did their lords see it? Or was it something where the battle ended and they just realized that [x] was nowhere to be found?
(referring to this fic) I think at one point I had more of a definite idea of how Laslow and Odin got taken even if not all the details were ironed out, but it’s been so long since I wrote that fic that all those details are gone now, if they ever existed. It’s heavily implied Odin was hit with magic that knocked him out, however, as per his poor Resistance stat in Heroes and how I think it’s his slowest growing base stat in Fates also. (I’ve always liked the thought that he’s good at magic but has no tolerance if you hit him with a spell yourself, haha). I think Laslow was taken out much like Selena, though Selena probably roughed up the most because she put up the biggest fight/Beruka and Camilla actively saw what was happening. I don’t think Odin or Laslow had as much of a fighting chance as she did; that is, I think they just got overwhelmed or taken out in whatever manner you’d best imagine based off their injuries in that fic, and there were probably not many witnesses to it during the action. They were probably noticed as missing after the battle had concluded. I think I focused on Selena for the kidnapping because she had the coolest/most action packed kidnapping.
