Watching The Good Place for the fiftieth time, and my Alastor is HEAVILY inspired by Michael, especially considering the found family aspect

Demon who was only interested in torturing the souls around him, finding himself instead pulled into their little found family when forced to ally with them, dad figure to a couple of them

Goes from trying to find the funniest ways to fuck with them and make them miserable to protecting them and constantly being confused by the ethics of friendship, and finding himself becoming just a BIT better of a person

like oh yes my Alastor is Michael for sure

and Vox is Shawn

you ever think alastor shakes a plastic bag around husk to be an ass and make him tear out of the room like a pug slipping on linoleum flooring

Vox adored Niffty, having had spent much time with her and Al. He always found her to be adorable and creepy and weird, and was fond of both her, Alastor obviously, Husk, and Rosie.

With the heavy falling out of he and Alastor, he lost those connections as well, both because Al pretty much forbid Niffty and Husk from interacting with him, and he and Rosie just kind of drifting apart with the business of both’s lives.

He’d always missed Niffty, but she’s also like salt on an open wound, reminding him of what he lost. Deep down he still cares about her….but would still absolutely try to use her for his own gain.

Alastor more out of trauma, is totally a bit of a ‘toxic girl dad’ to niffty because he knows men. he would not side eye a woman dating her anywhere near as much

Niffty: Al this is my girlfriend

Alastor: That’s nice darling

Niffty: Hey Al meet my boy-

Alastor: radio static noises

I remember my friend pointing out that Husk so far never has called Alastor ‘boss’ (it is literally always just insults lmao), but in a moment where he knew Alastor was feeling threatened and losing control when Lucifer was there, he called him ‘boss’ to make him feel more in control in a moment he knew Alastor was spiraling

this and ‘Al pets Husk’s ears to stim’ hc have to be my favorite of @top-shelf-tender (and I’m making a comic based off the second one)

Rosie is the queen of nicknames and calls Alastor every name of endearment that she can think of. she never runs out of nicknames, but is fond of very sweet and embarrassing ones your nan might call you, like “pumpkin”, and “cupcake”, and “sugar pie”

And her ‘Al only’ nicknames—“Allyoop and Allycat”

anything that she knows will make him flush and pout!

Alastor killed awful people in life.

Well. Not always.

It took very little for him to kill a man. His bias against men was strong, ingrained from childhood trauma. A man could so much as just bump into him and not say sorry and that would be grounds for Alastor to shove a knife in him. If a woman did that….he might slash her tires.

It took a lot for Alastor to kill a woman, and those that he did would have to be be the worst of the worst, like abusers themselves, and those that would neglect or beat their children (outside of a bit of corporal punishment, as he doesn’t see that as abuse)

His death count for women was incredibly low. Even in Hell, a woman would only be in danger if she was an overlord (or the more uncontrolled of his killing spree brought on by his demonic curse)

His mama instilled a lot of respect for the fairer means. He drank heavy respect women juice and surrounded himself with women friends in life.
