He didn’t mean any offense, but he couldn’t help and look at the girls outfit. There were many people who chose to wear more comfortable, and standard than go ‘outside of the box’. Joe added accessories to his outfit, and was often questioned about them, sometimes even being told his appearance was gaudy. Maybe that’s why he was more interested in her clothing, it was more unique.
Walking up towards her in between class rooms, he asked her a question that rang in his head. “Where’d you get all your accessories from? I haven’t seen them before.”
