Erica paced around her room while biting her thumb, waiting to hear the verdict that her mother was sure to deliver. Her door burst open and she saw her mom stand there, a furious spark in her eyes.
“Hi mom... What did they say?” She tried to mask the underlying excitement in her voice when she saw Hayley let out a huff of air.
“Sorry?” She shrugged her shoulders and tried to look as innocent as possible.
