Clexa just moved in together and Clarke’s realizing that Lexa has been getting a package a day from amazon.... what’s she buying and why is she making purchasing every damn day?!
Clarke heard a knock at their apartment door and knew what was waiting for her before she even got off the couch.
For the last six days Lexa had been getting a package from Amazon. Clarke had tried to ask Lexa about the packages after the first two days. But Lexa had just mentioned something about a work project and locked herself in her home office.
Clarke had no reason to distrust Lexa. They had just moved in together and still getting use to how to live in one spot.
Clarke opened the door and saw the biggest package yet waiting at their door.
“I got that,” Lexa called out from behind Clarke, walking up and grabbing the package. She leaned in and gave Clarke a quick kiss on the lips before rushing inside with the package.
“What are you...” Clarke didn’t even get to finish her question before Lexa was shutting the door to her office. “I’m gonna go grab coffee!” Clarke called out, hoping Lexa would offer to join her.
“Maple latte with oat milk?” Lexa asked, not even bothering to open the door.
Clarke sighed and grabbed her keys from the side table. “I’ll be back in twenty.”
“That’s all I need!” Lexa replied.
“What?” Clarke was even more confused now.
“Nothing! Ow!” There was a loud crash behind the door and Clarke walked over and tried to open it, but it was locked. “I’m fine! See you soon!”
Clarke didn’t have the strength to argue. Maybe getting out of the apartment would help her clear her mind. They were aloud to have other hobbies. Their relationship was based off trust and understanding. Though Clarke had to admit both of those things were in short supply lately.
Clarke walked back to the apartment twenty minutes later with her hands full of coffee and her brain still full of questions. If anything, the walk had just given her more to worry about.
She walked in and saw Lexa sitting on the couch with her feet up on the coffee table. She jumped up when she saw Clarke and walked over to her excitedly. Clarke grabbed Lexa’s right hand when she noticed he bandage.
“What happened?” Clarke looked over the wrapping concerned laced in every word.
“Nothing. I’m good.” Lexa grabbed her coffee and kissed the tip of Clarke’s nose. “I do have something to show you.”
Lexa’s entire body was almost vibrating with excitement. Clarke couldn’t remember the last time she saw Lexa so hyper.
Lexa took Clarke’s hand and walked her over to the office door.
“Welcome home.” Lexa smiled and pushed open the door.
Clarke couldn’t help the gasp that escaped her. She nearly dropped her coffee when she saw what Lexa had done to her office. She had turned it into an art studio for Clarke. There were blank canvases of all sizes lining the walls, two easels were sitting in the middle of the room, and there was a long table in the back loaded with paints and brushes.
Clarke felt the warm tears slide down her cheeks as she turned to Lexa.
Lexa picked up Clarke’s left hand and kissed the back of it.
“You gave up so much of your life to come live with me. I wanted you to know that your dreams matter and I will always support you.”
Clarke pulled Lexa in to a hug and let out a shaky sob.
“I love you, too. Always.”
