june had had to convince herself not to turn around three times on the walk to yongjin’s. it wasn’t that he himself was scary; but rather the idea of commitment at all. relationships had never been her forte, romantic or otherwise. and for a while what she’d NEEDED was the simplicity of the three of them. the unnamed, uncomplicated flow of OH&JIN&JUNE. she had to remind herself that that wasn’t gone just because she and jin were taking it further.
oh brought mateo around more often than not these days; hands flitting visible all across his form with lessening fear. and june couldn’t help but be jealous. there was no mistaking the actions for easy -- but they were scarred, the lot of them. and most days it felt like hers would simply never heal. to kiss jin and mean it with her whole heart would be allowing him to walk his fingers over fragile scabs, and pray that he not choose to rip them away.

the bag of canned peaches was heavy in her hand as she knocked on the familiar apartment door; for once not barging in. somewhere on the otherside was her boyfriend of sorts. it was time to stop RUNNING.
