if canon dai went into pokemon he'd be so impressed by the sheer amount of Critters around. i think he'd be a little intimidated by them though (just as they might still be intimidated of him like they are in his poke v--?! maybe?!) though. anyways he'd probably get to pet a city pokemon or two!! i can imagine him passing by or petting some residential dogs like yamper or lillipup and maybe getting to know some stray kitty cat pokemon if they're plodding around. he's also hanging out in way too many shady/abandoned places for him NOT to get mischievously antagonized a bit by ghost types. i think he'd really like the "inanimate" ones; banette for being a thrown away doll, sinistea, chandelure, etc... he'd think they felt sort of different and therefore a little more 'special' than the others, tbh. if he's in someplace like galar for example too then the fairy types hanging around in the big creepy woods would probably end up interacting with him too. it'd be a formative experience for him to get to listen to the clefairy line sing under the moon. he doesn't even have to be a part of it, it's a marvel enough for him to just get to watch. he probably wouldn't dare to take any pokemon home with him either unless one really ended up clinging to him or something, so it really is a friendship only run for his default. niwa daisuke will try to make fwiends with literally anything, it's just a question of what kinds of pokemon would be willing to be friends with HIM!!
