Once Allen had felt his energy come back, he had started to move. He knew something had been unusual when he used the Ark this time, draining him more than ever, and he could not place it, but it was as if the air was different. He felt like he knew what had happened, but he wanted to... make sure. Try to find people, and see.
The night had fallen slowly, the forest calm with nothing but nature and distant wildlife. It was nice, peaceful, and very welcomed.
So, when his left eye started to heat up, all Allen could think was, of course. Of course he could not be left alone. Yet... He frowned. His eye was not activating. His curse felt... confused?
It was strange, but Allen still followed the vague sense of direction. His curse was meant to react to death, after all, and especially to those that were not at peace.
He heard them before he saw them, his steps freezing, his curse growing agitated, Crown Clown growing more alert. Silver eyes widened as he saw the... walking, decaying bodies come in sight, and a shiver crawled down his spine when their gaze fell on him.
They were moving toward him, Allen knew to be in danger, and with a thought asked for Crown Clown’s activation. Enery sparked within his body, he could feel it want to respond, starting to react, yet... Darkness briefly swarmed his vision, the sudden realization he was still too weak, the confusing realization it had felt too hard to even come close to activate.
However, it did not meant their bond was any weaker, and when the strong sense of danger came to him from Crown Clown, Allen stumbled backward, lifting his left arm to protect his face. His sight came back into focus, just as teeth clamped on his left arm, tearing through the sleeve.
Two things happened in a split second then, as the corpse’s mouth touched the actual skin of his left arm. Allen heard how the teeth broke, God’s Crystal too resistant for such thing as human teeth, and green energy sparked, making the corpse recoil and howl.
Allen flinched back, and did not expect that, as if not understanding, the corpse attacked once more. The young man let out a yelp, moving to the side as he backtracked, eyes flickering to take into the position of the other corpses. They were fast, he was lucky his reflexes were high, left arm swiping out to knock away an attack, ducking under another, and he went to run.
But they were fast, and his energy level too low. He barely dodged behind a tree, only to once more lift his left arm to protect himself, this time blocking a hand. The force of the hit knocked him into the tree, stealing his breath. While the contact made the corpse recoil once more, the other ones were close.
He was trapped against the tree, knowing that there was no way he could protect himself from them all, with only his left arm able to remain free of harm.
