James bit his lip and closed his eyes for a second. He didn’t like causing pain. Especially not to those he cared about. But in this case, the hurt was inevitable. He stood up.

Dante nodded while staring at his folded hands. James reached out and briefly squeezed Dante’s shoulder. Then he walked out of the room, without looking back.
