He gave her no reason to be distrustful, and that in itself was so very infuriating. Kira wanted to hate him so much. She felt such immense anger and hatred towards the Fire Nation, and she finally had one of their soldiers right before her, but she couldn't even hate him?? It was some cruel twist of fate. Now, she had all of this hate and anger inside of her, festering and twisting, and she had no outlet.

Kira knew she was being unfair. But did she not have the right to be after everything the Fire Nation had done to the world, to her? Perhaps not. After all, instead of sending someone easy to hate, the world sent her the most polite Fire Nation ex-soldier she could ever meet. But Kira was stubborn as can be, and she tightly held onto this bitter resentment.

" I'll be fine, " came the curt response as Kira continued to tightly wrap a bandage around her injured arm. Just a scrape gained from training. Kira took it as a sign that she needed to work harder. She certainly didn't need to unload her woes onto him of all people... Kira finally lifted her gaze to glance up at the ex-soldier before her. " ...What are you even doing here? "

Feeling her body pressed against his. He couldn't help but inhale for a second. He was tired and knew he needed to move, but her grip alone kept him in place. Arms wrapped around her and pulled her closer to him.

"If you're so cold I can get another blanket." he teased, rubbing the woman's back for the moment. Not that he wanted to move, but he felt like he'd been in bed for far too long.
