Hide & Seek
She was shaking. Her blood was boiling with fury, and yet at the same time, her heart felt cold and broken, and she had to get away from everyone. She slunk back into the area where the children had been preparing for the play, now abandoned while they all enjoyed the rest of the festivities, and sat herself down on a step, trying to calm herself down. She wanted to cry, or scream, but mostly she wanted to punch something. No, not something. Someone. She knew who her anger was directed at, but if she acted on it, she’d regret it later, for so many reasons. So she fumed in silence, squeezing her fingernails into her palms, hoping the pain might give her some kind of release. @inplcinsight
