"While I am sympathetic to your situation," Zoe started, folding her hands on the table in front of her. "I warned you what would happen. I told you that the girl wasn't good, that she was using you and you didn't listen."

She normally didn't have the patience for people that didn't listen to her, normally walking away and never looking back but she did have a strong sense of friendship for the other sitting across from her. "I don't want to tell you that I told you so, but," she shrugged. "What are you going to do now?"

Zoe was good at picking up when she was being watched so when she felt the other's eyes on her from the couch across the way, the brunette lifted her head to look back at them. The vampire was slightly on edge that evening because she was hungry. Even if she had learned to control her hunger and use bags from the hospital, she could never get past the desire for fresh blood from the vein of someone. So naturally, the hunger was making her testy to say the least. 

Clearing her throat, her head tilted slightly off to one side as she leaned forward to address the other. "Stare at me any longer, love, and I may be inclined to pluck your eyeballs out of their sockets. It's not polite to watch someone. Didn't your mother ever teach you that?"
