Tiff and Rix Plus Six (Meet the Fontenot Family)
partially based off of the amazing LP Nora and Caleb Plus Six by @oshinsimblr
poses by @ratboysims and @acha-sims
as always, the family can be found on my EA account cloudiewaffles
After the death of his wife Akira Tanaka, widowed librarian Hendrix Fontenot Jr. suddenly finds himself as a single dad of six kids: 16yo Josiah, 12yo Kenzo, 10yo Naomi, 6.5yo Zane, 4yo Amaya, and 1yo Lucien. Despite her jaded attitude towards children because of her age, Hendrix's mother Tiffanie promptly moves in to help him raise the kids and to teach him how to live again before her own inevitable demise
The main reason for making this family was because I noticed that my elder gameplay in this game has been severely lacking (and to a lesser extent, the number of teens I make in CAS), and I wanted to mix in traits I usually never play with into my typical family-oriented gameplay.
Hendrix Fontenot Jr. (A; family-oriented, unflirty, bookworm): As a librarian, Hendrix juggled the working in the daytime, while Akira, a paramedic, handled working at nights. This structure further supplemented Hendrix's practical personality; he would much rather stick his nose in a book than do something like go skiing or surfing. Hendrix's father Hendrix Sr. passed away when Hendrix was a teen, so he never felt quite as connected with him as he does to his mother now. Akira passed away due to complications after giving birth to Hendrix's youngest child, Lucien. Becoming a single father of six has been the hardest thing that Hendrix has ever done, but with the help of his mother, he has promised himself to dedicate his own life to making sure his kids have as good of one as possible. He doesn't care for re-marrying at the moment, let alone making many new friends- he just wants to rebuild.
Tiffanie Gordon (E; hates children, animal enthusiast, art lover): Tiffanie, meanwhile, believes that Hendrix is focusing too much on his children and not enough on who matters most: himself. After the death of her husband, Tiffanie became numb to children in general. Hendrix Sr. died of a heart attack, one which Tiffanie believes was caused by the stress of raising a stubborn child + providing for a family single-handedly. Instead of connecting with another man she would inevitably lose, Tiffanie went to veterinarian school, where she became a successful, albeit now retired practitioner. She bought herself a nice house and settled herself to relax... only to open it up to seven more roommates after her son became a widow. Now, with the few days she has left, Tiffanie is learning how to truly BE a grandma instead of pushing the kids to the side due to her own trauma.
Naomi Fontenot (C; adventurous): Naomi is 10 years old and the polar opposite of Hendrix. While Hendrix is a natural homebody, Naomi is out of the house every single day exploring. She runs instead of walks, dives instead of jumps. Naomi has a naturally competitive spirit and refuses to let anything get in the way of achieving her goals- not even being a middle child. Naomi is currently in four sports and trying to convince her father to let her join a fifth. With Akira gone, Tiffanie has tried to teach Naomi how to be a 'proper' lady, but the latter isn't having any of it; in Naomi's eyes, a proper lady is a lady who follows her dreams- not one who lets a man dictate it.
Kenzo Fontenot (C; self-assured): Kenzo's overconfidence makes him the punching bag of the family, especially when it comes to his big brother Josiah. He's a mixture of Everybody Hates Chris and Greg Heffley in the sense that he's the everyman of the household who deals with his little brother Zane's goofiness, his little sister Naomi's energy, his big brother Josiah's bullying, and the two babies on top of that. Nevertheless, Kenzo has goals of his own. He wants to be the coolest kid on the block, someone that people can look up to instead of down towards.
above: Josiah Fontenot (Teen; cheerful, mean): Josiah is the oldest of the Fontenot kids and the self-proclaimed 'favorite child.' At sixteen years old, he loves making fun of his five younger siblings (especially Kenzo) and sees himself as naturally superior to them because of his age. Even though he's a bit mean, he's cheerful too, always with a smile on his face- just like his little brother Lucien. His mother's death has forced Josiah to take on a more fatherly role when it comes to his younger siblings. As Tiffanie ages and Hendrix works more, someone needs to hang on for the kiddos, and that person is Josiah. Even if he makes fun of his siblings a lot, he really does love them deep down. Making fun of them is just his own way to stifle down the grief that stings him so much.
below: Zane Fontenot (C; goofball): Zane is the jokester of the household- even more then his big brother Josiah. This six (and a half- never forget the half) is always in a playful mood and loves nothing more than to joke around, but never at the expense of his siblings' happiness. He may not be the best student, or the most well-behaved child, but hidden below, even behind Zane's sloppiness and immaturity, is a pure heart. Zane loves his family and would do anything for them.
Lucien Fontenot (I; sunny): Lucien is the baby of the family, and the ray of sunshine that kept everyone going even after Akira's passing. He has the cutest giggles and the most adorable of gummy smiles. Taking care of Lucien is a light job; he's the easiest baby Hendrix has had, which is a blessing considering he's had to raise Lu alone for the most part when his mother hasn't been there.
Amaya Fontenot (Toddler; clingy): Amaya, like her little brother, makes up the heart of the Fontenots. All Amaya wants is to be close with her daddy at all costs- even while he's working at the hospital. She's always asking for Hendrix to read to her, overall making her the youngest bookwork that Rix knows. Rather than get herself into trouble like her big siblings do, Amaya wants to cuddle with the man she trusts most of all (or talk to her teddies instead).
The Fontenots are a family that are going through a tough time. Between Akira's death and Tiffanie's aging, Hendrix has a lot on his shoulders to hold on top of raising six kids. But, even through all of the tears and the sighs, there's still joy. Akira's memory lives on in the souls of everyone in the household. Grief doesn't define them- it's what GREW them in the first place. There was a time in his life where Hendrix didn't think he'd still be here- but he is. Not because of anything he did, but because he trusted his mom, trusted his kids, and trusted fate to carry him through the hardest moment of his life.
Back on my awkward af Percy thoughts. Yeah.
This is kinda similar to something I posted earlier, but basically Percy gives up on the demanding ministry man life (which is an idea I don’t really dabble in but alas) and prepares himself for an easy laid back lifestyle for the rest of his years.
But basically long story short he ends up as arm candy for the heir prince of England (or heiress, but I personally think he’s gay) not even a month after.
And I’m not exaggerating when I say this shit earns itself a spot in history. LIKE GUYS IT’S RAGS TO RICHES AND THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS DON’T TRY TOO HARD. You’re telling me this isn’t a fable?
