"It doesn't surprise me. They didn't even let me register a bear."

This is a normal things to say. Absent-mindedly throwing a few random things in the pot of the stable they decided to stay when the rain caught up with them - including frogs and lizards, of all things -, Link avoids the other's puppy eyes to instead scour the sorrounding, squinting slightly until he could see a small herd running in the rain.

"...do you want a horse?"

There was no way to budge the people at the stable. He tried, first with the Stalhorse, then the deer, and finally with a bear; there was no way he could try to make them change their mind when it came to something so big and, at least for most, scary. Might as well actually get something they could, in fact, keep!

Heike leaned into Helmut's lips as they crashed into hers, as they so often did. Offered that last piece of distance to him every time, and he to her. His kiss was gentle but inquiring and she had to tighten her grip on the glass of wine she'd been offering out to him lest she spill it down his shirt. When he pulled away, she cleared her throat and let out a deep breath.

"Honestly, darling, you could have just taken a sip of the wine." She teased, taking another sip to try and cover her slight blush. "I wouldn't have minded." She added in a tone that suggested she didn't mind his approach either.

"I couuld have...." Zemo agreeded with a small smile as he brushed some of Heikke's red hair out of her face, admiring her for a short moment. "I didn't." It would probably have been easier to simply ask to taste the wine... But he did want that kiss.

there's a focus being drawn from the other end of the hall, his eyes drifting the same. the corner of his lips turn down as he scrutinizes the sight before them — josefina rojas in all her blonde, diamond encrusted glory, and her hunk of a new man who looked way too stiff in that suit. of course, though, what else was there for the man who people said used to be in the military somewhere? his shoulders and arms seemed like they wanted to be free of the expensive fabric, and it wasn't long before alejandro's lips twisted into a barely restrained sneer. he forces his eyes away from the couple discussing some kind of business or other, returning to the clipboard in his hand he'd been using for facility details. something something let's make a partnership, let's involve ourselves with bioterrorism so we can earn more money and find even more ways to write it off on tax receipts.

“ the oh-so-great santa josefina. ” he lifted an eyebrow as pencil scrabbled across paper, detailing nonsense. “ my ex and his latest flame. ” he takes another look, partly willing that josefina catches his eye, but knowing she'd never let him live it down if that was the case. “ i'm surprised you haven't heard of her. the media and newspapers are all over her like moths to a flame. every day it's something different, some way she's helped a local town or donated millions to charity or developed something new. ” a sarcastic scoff escaped his throat as he measured the top of the paper with the pencil in his hand, shaking his head.

" discussing the contract further Striker had been getting close to Angel Dust as a means of gathering intel on his boss and owner the overlord Valentino who was the assassins target.

" finalizing the contract details Striker cracked open a beer as his dinner was just about done cooking. Still on the phone Striker looked to the clock seeing it was just about that time Angel Dust was popping for a visit.

" Payment as been received. I'll call if anything comes up. " closing his phone the cowboy unlocked the front door for when Angel popped. Having forgotten, he had left out a folder of information on Valentino. Also, includung details on the contract, in his bedroom Striker popped on the counter radio while he waited on the sinner to arrive.

He'd been in many situations to be sure during his long life. Even submitting himself for arrest on a calculated whim. This, however, was a new reason. A fact that drew a small smirk to his lips as he felt the mortal man try to shift farther away from him. Gaze sliding to the side to watch him for a moment before he mused. "Are you afraid that I'm going to bite?"

They'd both been arrested instead of the three reasons that should have been. Taking the fall for the others younger brothers who had somehow managed to get his best friend shit faced with them.
