The alcohol was just another mask; everyone wore one to keep themselves separated from everyone else. She knew that all too well. Alcohol, however, could have never been her choice, given the effects it had on her. "Them. People who are gone now, from the sounds of it." Ava sighed heavily, her shoulders sagging. "You think they'd want you to sit here and be miserable for the rest of your life? Or do you think they'd want you to get off your ass and live your life doing something productive and meaningful?" It was easy to dig a hole and bury one's self in it to feel comfortable. Comfortable and small and unseen. But that was always a slow progression to the grave. "Survival's guilt looks pretty ugly on you."
Zemo contemplated on how much information he would volunteer to Ava before sipping his wine. He wasn't fully aware just how much the other's knew about him from Val other than.... well.... That whole UN terrorist thing. "My wife and son.... Very much gone." He admitted with a sigh. Guess they would have to get to know each other at some point. "I mean my wife wouldn't exactly be surpriced either?" Zemo pointed out with a slightly raised eyebrow. In fact Heike would probably have expected this.... well not the new room mates but close enough.
"Survival's guilt? Have you met our co-worker, James by any chance?" Now he was redirecting and he knew it but.... It was a little bit funny that he was getting this talk while living in the same building as Bucky fucking Barnes.
