BIG OL’ PSA concerning the kids in 616/mcu verses !!

canonically, the fact that the Next Avengers have travelled back in time and space to help out in 616/mcu is A SECRET. nobody but a select few high ranking SHIELD agents (mainly Maria Hill) know that these kids even exist, let alone that they’re helping out in the respective timeline. the Next Avengers are highly covert, working from the shadows, and hiding from the 616/mcu heroes at large. when Sunspot and Cannonball travel to the kid’s world to retrieve them and then return to 616, Maria Hill casually has their memories wiped so they don’t even remember these kids are a thing. the kids are essentially locked up in a secret part of Avenger Tower and they are told to stay put SHIELD basically builds them an excessive playpen up there, with console games and a TV, and keeps them like pets. they aren’t allowed to leave, because by doing so, they might disrupt the timeline that isn’t their own.

if your muse thus has a run-in with Francis, it’ll be for one of two reasons: by accident, or due to Francis breaking the rules.

expect the latter to happen a lot, because Francis, along with the rest of the gang, thinks he’s superior to any goddamn SHIELD agent and at one point, he will be fed up with being locked up. it’s boring, and he hates feeling like an asset SHIELD can dig up and then lock back up whenever they need him. note still stands though: by default, your muse will not know that Francis exists !!

I, however, am forever a sucker for plots where your muse gets a wiff of a bunch of strange kids living in an unmarked part of the tower and they go to figure out if there’s any truth in that. so always hmu if you feel like plotting around here.
