while elizabeth wasn’t upset about not having a date, it did sort of make her feel out of place. it seemed that everybody here had someone they would be spending the whole night with, but she was alone. basically all of her friends had a date as well so it wasn’t like she could spend the whole night with them.
what caught her eyes was another figure that looked almost as lonely as she did. dressed in a beautiful blue dress, elizabeth decided that she deserved some nice company ( although, she wasn’t quite sure if she qualified for the ‘nice’ part ). most people referred to her as annoying.
“hello there! what’s a pretty girl like yourself doing all alone.” she quickly took a seat besides her, gathering her hands together on her lap. this was her way of showing her that she was only paying attention to her.
