The day starts and finishes in a heartbeat. Kay waking up as he stares into oblivion for a moment, pulling himself up just because attendance is part of his grade, sleeping during majority of his class hours, getting slapped by girls, training, and at last-- nothing, nothing else to do.
So there he is with his freshly should-have-been-warmed-up-but-he’s-kinda-cold body, walking out of the campus stadium with the strap of his gym bag over his shoulder.
At that exact moment, he feels an arrow piercing through him, but when he trails his eyes over his chest, the arrow gradually pigments away as if it’s just a mere hallucination. A normal person would probably be all too confused, but a.) he is not a normal person and b.) neither is this campus.
So he blinks, feeling no change in his body as he looks around.
