they'll be docked at this island for two days before the log pose can direct them to their next destination. robin had been planning to ask for some time herself to see the local plant life, see if there was anything new she could pick up for her garden. however, her curiosity is piqued when @hangvn quietly beckons to follow her off the ship. she'd gladly postpone to accommodate for whatever she has planned. it's not often the two get time to themselves without the others around.

awe spreads over the older woman's face upon seeing what the navigator's surprise was: hot springs not too far off where they were docked. it was a bit of a hike to the spot, but nothing either woman hasn't experienced already. they barely broke a sweat.

at the edge of one of the pools was a basket, containing robin's favorite sandwiches, side dishes utilizing her herbs and a citrus dessert made from nami's tangerines.

"nami--" a warm smile melts against robin's lips as she peers over at the other's proud expression. "i was wondering where you snuck off to earlier. how thoughtful of you."

robin catches the rigid line of vivi's shoulders, the twitch upwards from their former relaxed state. when robin was masquerading as the right hand woman to mister zero, she would have been satisfied with such a response. she still would be, amongst enemies. but there are no more enemies on this ship.

she settles in a seat at the table diagonally from @fatescattered , giving her the space she may need. not directly in front of her or beside her either. "pear tarte tatin and blackberry ice cream. the ice cream, he prepared the night before. it was a task and a half to make sure luffy didn't dip his fingers in it before we got the chance to taste it." she chuckles. "do you enjoy sweets yourself?"

two years apart from the crew. the chasm that's existed between herself and the rest of them starts to come to a close one reunion at a time. it's nice to see how everything has changed and nothing at all. and to know from here on out, there are new challenges to face and new abilities within one another that would be eagerly shared.

a familiar voice calls out to her, raven hair flutters briefly in the breeze as she pivots towards the beckon. piercing blues land upon old comrade, from days even before her union with the strawhats. it's something special that she and lanselot share. even if those days were fused with contention, it somehow brought them closer together, and it often became a source of comfort to her. there aren't many figures from her past that she could confidently say she would be happy to see again. she's glad that @willofd is one such exemption.

they stand before each other, sizing one another up in the way that friends do when they meet again after so long apart. she leans forward, hinging at the waist as her hand comes to frame his cheek softly in an affectionate gesture, such as bestowed upon their adorable doctor.

robin brushes her lips over his temple, fingertips applying brief pressure as she cradles his head. "how nice to see you, lanselot." it's an understatement, but it's what she can muster as she smiles down at him. "shall we?"
