an undoing influence

Can someone tell you what to do? You have been carrying so much love within you for so long it is starting to turn into anger (why does it matter, all you see is red anyways) and you have been dragging this body through each day and every night you are split open on your bed and it is so so so lonely. If someone were to walk in while you were on your bed that way and they stitched you back in a new way, lining the seams with their love and kisses, you’d probably find this dreary world a little more bearable. You want someone to turn you over and over until you look in the mirror and see yourself looking back at yourself with a gentleness which has been lacking in you since forever.

Red characters tend to be both quiet and observant as well as loud and dramatic. They are often brash and impulsive, and tend to act on instinct rather than planning ahead. They are quite self-sacrificing, often veering into self-destructive, and they push themselves to their limits trying to succeed. They tend to be stubborn, and it might take a lot to change their mind. They have a hard time expressing their feelings, and may come off as either emotionless, self-absorbed, or perpetually angry. 9. How do they manifest energy, exhaustion, tension, or other strong emotions?

blake never really tries to hide his emotions unless he’s working or around people he knows could be upset by his reactions. with exhaustion, tension, stress and pain, it all comes out as irritation that’s aimed at no one in particular so it just, comes out. of course he apologizes. when he’s excited or overwhelmingly happy, he makes it quite obvious by his smiling and his eyes doing his Signature Sparkle(tm). sometimes he does the small “yesss” move if it was something he was trying to do. as for extreme anger and any other form of it... there’s a reason he has a punching bag- and if the anger’s from a person that provoked him, well, sucks for them. 

17. Are they more shaped by nature or nurture — who they are, or what has happened to them? How have these shaped who they’ve become as a person?

he’s extremely shaped by nurture. by nature blake’s the golden child,  he was accidentally made for greatness. his parents nurtured his unconditional love for everything, his kindness. they wanted to nuture every good thing about him, and focused on talking through negative emotions. once everything went to shit in a year, so did he as a whole, and never quite recovered. the agency his parents worked for got to him and twisted him into someone he didn't want to be. while they failed at making him cold and unfeeling, they succeeded in nurturing his anger, even praising when he was violent. he hates it because he knows that’s not who he was raised to be. the contrast of being raised to be the sun with people nurturing his dark side’s turned him into a (reasonably) volatile person.

32. Do they have any “props” that are a significant part of their life, identity, activities, or self-presentation somehow? What are they, how are they used, and why are they so significant? How would these props’ absence impact them, how would they compensate, and why?

he has two, maybe three. he has his camera (or cameras), his staff, and the stars. of course, one of those he doesn’t own. he was given a camera when he was still young and told to take pictures of everything that made him happy, even if it didn’t make a whole lot of sense later. it was a reminder that in that point in time, he was happy. it could be a random potato on the ground or hanging out with his friends and family. he could look back on it and smile, and it’s something very significant when he’s having a hard time regulating his feelings. he could live moderately easily without it, but he wouldn’t want to. his second is his staff, and while it was originally given to him to cause harm (and death), he uses it to protect and for fun instead. that, and annoying people from afar. it’s an extension of him, whether it’s fighting, trying to get something off the top of the fridge, dancing, or even just showing off his ~cool spinning tricks~. that, and it just helps him get his energy out. because of it being an extension of him, he’d feel like a part of him is missing- a big part at that. he can fight with his fists, but hates the feeling of it, he can dance, but it’s more fun with an accessory. stools are overrated, and it’d be hard to get used to a new fidget toy when he’s had a certain one for years. as for the stars, he would be lost without them. literally. he’s used the stars to guide him before and to keep him distracted from the chaos around him. he knows everything there is to know about the stars. they mean the most to him out of everything. it’s something no one can take away from him or anyone. they're safe up there. they can take him away from the stars, but blake knows that they’ll always be there when he comes back.

NAME :  blake nathaniel farris RESIDENCE :  cookie cutter borderline mansion in phoenix arizona NUMBER OF BLANKETS : two, not including the sheet. whether they stay on the bed though is questionable NUMBER OF PILLOWS :  three but really only needs two TYPE OF CLOTHES :  always wears a shirt and either shorts or pants (sometimes joggers) depending on how cold he is DOES HE SLEEP WITH COMPANY? :  blake rarely sleeps with company around unless it’s his teammates or close friends/family. they get a pass after knowing them for years and seeing him quite literally pass out from exhaustion before. otherwise, no, and he will stay awake until that company leaves DO THEY SLEEP BETTER WITH COMPANY? : nope. DOES IT MATTER WHERE SHE SLEEPS :  this man will fall asleep wherever he can (sometimes not his choice either) WHAT DOES SHE DO IF SHE CAN’T SLEEP : take walks outside, play games, brush up on his studies, sometimes sneak down to watch his dad work FREQUENT DREAMS, NIGHTMARES? :  frequent nightmares. between the various forms of abuse while growing up, his mothers death, repeatedly hurting and killing people, not to mention his expiration date... yeah, he has nightmares DEEP SLUMBER OR NAPS? : both, but primarily deep sleep. naps are for when he’s on a mission or he doesn’t have time to get some shut eye (or just cant sleep). deep slumber for him is peaceful, though a bit concerning for everyone else around him. WHEN DOES SHE SLEEP? :  depends on the situation but usually at night with a nightlight of some sort on. WHAT COULD WAKE THEM UP? : with naps: everything, but deep slumber??? probably something physical, like pushing him off the bed or a tazer on the end of a broomstick. good luck

cant believe I forgot how heart breaking blake is as a character to go through so much shit but continue on straight up out of sheer determination and hope and love for everyone that has been nurtured in him since day one even when he has to claw his way out of hell multiple times within 11 years just to live

like there’s a reason this kid is called the golden boy and it’s all due to the fact that everyone knew he was going to do/be great someday and he managed to do it
