❝ past and present ❞
{ @rksiyeon }
when nayoung graduated from sopa in february last year, she found herself comforting a lot of her younger friends and even friends from her class, all of whom assumed they wouldn’t get to see her nearly as often, or even at all. nayoung herself had even had to fight tears that day, at the thought of the huge change she was about to experience -- the shift from high school to university.
while it’s true that she doesn’t see her friends from high school nearly as often as she used to, she still thinks she probably spends a bit too much time at her former school. she doesn’t mind, though -- she has friends from university, of course, but she doesn’t mind holding on to her friends from high school. even if she’s technically supposed to “move on” from that stage of her life, she’s simply too fond of her friends to let them all go.
not that she’d ever mention that out loud, though.
she’s sitting in the driver’s seat of her mom’s silver sedan, watching the gates of the high school through the windshield. it’s impossible to pick out her friend from the swarm of students leaving through the gates, but she’s already texted siyeon to let her know where she is, and she knows it won’t be long before the younger girl finds her.
